Two legendary punks and well respected painters have joined together in the name of art.
Jesse Michaels, of Common Rider and Operation Ivy fame, and Christopher Applegren, owner of Lookout Records, have set up an art/design collective known as Dynaformer. The site is still fairly new and is still in the midst of being updated, but you can go and check out plenty of examples of Jesse and Chris' art. They've both done some great album covers and zine covers over the years, some of which you are sure to recognize.
One of the neatest features that is just starting up and will be greatly expanded shortly is a blog that will be written by Jesse and Chris.
Jesse, as some of you may know, is not exactly the most public person. For years after Operation Ivy broke up, Jesse disappeared and only did a few interviews when he formed Common Rider. It's nice to see him back in action and reaching out to his fans......
