-After having dinner with a friend in the East Village Saturday night, we started strolling west on 5th Street. We chatted about my Friday post about Agyness Deyn's recent move to the East Village and her favorite dining spots. I jokingly said I would start spending hours at Veselka and Atlas to stalk the magnificent Mancunian. Then lo and behold, within seconds we nearly walked right into her and her posse on 2nd Avenue! Dressed in an adorable red, white, and blue graphic print summer dress, Deyn was unmissable. She is about my height, 5'8", impossibly thin and her skin was pale and radiant. She appeared very happy and friendly.
The Daily Mail has a somewhat cheesy article on Agyness (formerly Laura Hollins) here. The adorable photo to the right is from the article and is Laura aged five. Awww! She was always adorable.
-Another sighting I had this weekend occurred Sunday afternoon in Chelsea. I was crossing westward on 23rd Street at 6th Avenue in the rain and spotted Rufus Wainwright crossing eastward. The usually dapper diva was particularly under-dressed wearing only a small, white tee, mint green cotton short-shorts and mandals. Perhaps Rufie was in the middle of doing his laundry... His hair was still impeccable though, despite the rain, and he still looked cute as a button.
