FLAMING LIPS | Two of the Same at Webster Hall

The Flaming Lips are an amazing band. On record, they're stellar. Their live shows can be euphoric. The two shows at Webster Hall were entertaining. My only complaint is that it's the same show they've been doing for a good six years now. The nun puppet, the costumed dancing animals, the bag of glitter, the trippy video screen, the big Hulk gloves.

At least they used to change the setlist around, but now it's like watching a Family Guy rerun. Sure you'll still laugh, but its not as jaw-dropping as the first time you saw it.....
