Thank you all for making last night's Product Shop NYC party at Rothko such an extraordinary evening! The show was completely sold out! A line down the block! An absolutely packed room! I can't stop using exclamation points!!!
Of course, the reason the show was sold out was because of the three awesome bands who played. Sam Champion, Tapes 'N Tapes, and Group Sounds were all fucking amazing and I can't thank them all enough. Sam Champion played two new songs and rocked the stage like Tom Petty on crack. Tapes 'N Tapes played their final of four buzzed about area show and it was by far their best one. And Group Sounds finished everyone off before trashing their equipment and the stage.
I also need to send out some major love to my partners at Whores of Fashion and Kollege Daily, as well as the entire staff at Rothko, who are damn good people.

Great time last night. Spoke with Noah after their set and he said that they played FOUR new songs last night, not two. Speaking of Sam Champion, I feel that they stole the show last night. It's impressive how they just keep on getting better and better. In comparision from when I first saw them back when they opened for Rogue Wave at the Bowery, they have improved dramatically, which is not to imply that they were bad back then. As for Tapes 'N Tapes, I feel that they more than lived up to the hype they have been getting this week. Songs sounded great live and they really do have great stage presence. Picked up their album and EP and have been enjoying listening to them all them day today.

I was definitely re-impressed with Sam Champion last night. Tapes 'n Tapes were as good as ever.
